Himalayan Sanctuary Fellowship Program
Institute For Future and the Asian School of Governance (ASG) have signed an MoU to develop the Himalayan Sanctuary Fellowship Program, equipping graduate students to design impact-first investment instruments for the energy transition.
This afternoon, Institute For Future (The Institute) and the Asian School of Governance (ASG) formally advanced their collaboration under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop and deliver the Himalayan Sanctuary Fellowship Program.
The Fellowship is designed to equip graduate students — especially those in MBA, MPA, MPP, economics, and engineering — with practical skills to design impact-first investment instruments that can accelerate the energy transition in emerging economies, with a focus on Himalayan priorities.
Key objectives
Bringing futures thinking and foresight methodologies into the learning experience
Training fellows to identify investment opportunities and analyze energy landscapes
Building a global network committed to sustainable energy futures
Producing high-quality research and case studies on impact-first investing
This fellowship is being created to support rigorous research and practical insights focused on the Himalayan region, bringing together academic excellence and governance perspectives to help translate evidence into real-world impact.
